Apple Updates (October 19th)

Apple has released their new lineups and products:

They have a new software tool out for photographers, Aperture, but you won’t be running it on your PowerBook anytime soon – it requires a G5 (of which there are new PowerMac G5s) Edit: I stand corrected, they will run on a “15- or 17-inch PowerBook G4 with a 1.25 GHz or faster PowerPC G4 processor” with 1GB of memory.

They’ve made some changes to the 15″ and 17″ PowerBook lineups – the 17″ has a 1680×1050 display, and the 15″ has a 1440×960 display. Both of these models have about an extra hour of batery life as well.

As far as the 12-inch PowerBooks, SuperDrives are now standard in all PowerBooks, and the 12-inch PowerBooks start at $1499.
