Office Depot to Start Selling ThinkPads

CNET/News.com has the story – ThinkPads are coming back to retail, and Office Depot is going to start selling them. Office Depot will start out selling the Lenovo ThinkPad Z60t widescreen or ThinkPad T43, starting this sunday. They’ll retail, for the time being, starting at $699 (yep, you heard right).

This is the first time since 1999 that ThinkPads have been on store shelves.

While neither of the two initial models falls into the ‘ultraportable category’, the article does mention this:

Office Depot said it will also retail ThinkPad models belonging to the X Series and R Series, as well as Lenovo’s X41 Tablet 12-inch convertible tablet.
