Macworld UK thinks Apple will roll out laptops with Intel chips in the first quarter of 2006.
Taipei Times says Apple will take control of the notebook market:
Among all brand-name notebook-computer makers, Apple Computer Inc is set to take center stage next year, mainly bolstered by its new light-weight models as well as the iPod effect, a recent study found.
They are predicting they will ship over three million laptops, and that Apple will grab consumers’ attention next year as the company will unveil light-weight models with a stylish design aimed at luring female users.
I don’t think they need to target female users – if you make a good design, gender won’t matter (just look at the iPod).
