Announced: LG LW20 Express, TX1 Express

Darius Chang has a writeup for CNET Asia, about LG getting heavily involved in the notebook business (including the ultraportable market):

With less than a year marketing laptops under its own branding, the Korean company is so confident its products can compete with the incumbent big names that it is making portable PC’s one of its core businesses.

Some of the new models introduced include ultraportables (the LG LW20 Express and TX1 Express), and should be out in retail stores by the end of the month (the LW series is available now).

– External DVD/CDRW Optical Drive
– Dolby digital-capable audio sound.
– Around 1.1kg with battery
– No price has been set

The TX1 has a very interesting video setup for a 12.1-inch notebook – upto 256MB memory, Nvidia GeForce Go 7300.
