Review: Toshiba Portege R200 (Pocket-lint.co.uk)

Toshiba Portege R200
Pocket-lint.co.uk published a review of the Toshiba Portege R200 by Stephen Patrick a few days ago, giving it good marks, while citing the lack of an optical drive and the size of the keyboard as potential problems for some users. The R200 has a non-widescreen 12-inch display and is powered by an Intel Pentium M Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) 1.20GHz CPU.

One thing that Patrick mentioned, that many reviewers missed out on, is how quiet many of the ULV machines are, which is important for some people. Quote:

One of the advantages of opting for a ULV processor is the lack of a fan, with the processor merely coming with a heatsink to dissipate heat. To this end, you’ll find this an extremely quiet unit to run, especially if you need to use it for presentations.
