Review: Averatec 3715 (Pocket-lint.co.uk)

Averatec 3700 Series
Stephen Patrick at Pocket-lint.co.uk recently took a look at the Averatec 3715. The 3715 is one of the most affordable ultraportable notebooks (around $900 USD and up), with a 12.1-inch display (non-widescreen), an internal optical drive, and uses an AMD Sempron 3000+ CPU (around 1.8GHz).

Two of the major issues they found (as well as other reviewers): battery life and the graphics, but both of these are part of the reason for the cheaper price – as Stephen points out: In many respects it still seems that you get what you pay for and while Averatec has managed to put together a lightweight and highly portable machine this is at the sacrifice of performance.
