Announced: Motorola ML910 and MW810

Motorola ML910 MW810Motorola has announced the MW810 and ML910. Both units include multiple connectivity options, and both include GPS units built-in.

It’s a stretch for us to include the MW810, as it’s actually not a true laptop, but is instead broken into three pieces – a keyboard, display, and CPU unit. It’s made to be vehicle mounted and to be semi-portable, so we are going to include it. It’s powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo.

The ML910 on the other hand, is an Intel Core duo powered rugged laptop, with a 13.3-inch widescreen display, with a ATI Radeon X1400 graphics adapter, complete with a video capture function. The most interesting thing about the ML910 is that it was built and tested to comply with United States Department of Defense standard MIL-STD-810F, and it has a hard drive heater for operation in freezing temperatures. It also has internal sensors to monitor and protect the system when dealing with extreme heat or cold.

Both units are available for demonstration today and tomorrow at FOSE 2007 in Washington, D.C.
