Announced: HP Compaq 2510p

HP Compaq 2510p In addition to the HP Compaq 2710p announced today at the HP Mobility Summit 2007, HP also announced the HP Compaq 2510p.

This is HP Compaq’s lightest and smallest ultraportable laptop, with a 12.1-inch widescreen display, and a weight starting at 2.9 pounds, and containing an internal optical drive. It’s based on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform, and is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) CPU. Like the 2710p, it has an “Illumi-Lite” display that is slimmer and more energy efficient than traditional LCD displays, leading us to believe that it’s an LED-backlit display.

The price will start at $1599 and should be available sometime in the summer of 2007.
