The Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 is now available from Fujitsu, starting at $1699. All three models ($2009 FPCM21503, $1859 FPCM21502, and the $1699 FPCM21501) are showing a shipping date of February 20, 2008.
This is the North American version of Fujitsu LOOX R / FMV-R8250, and looks to be replacing the Fujitsu LifeBook P7230.
All three models are based on Intel’s SL7100 Low Voltage (LV) CPU (1.2 Ghz, 4 MB L2 cache, 800 Mhz FSB), and have a 12.1″ LED backlit display, and weigh in at just under three pounds (amazing giving they have built-in dual-layer DVD writing optical drives). They also feature a spill-resistant keyboards, along with hardware switches for the Wireless LAN/Bluetooth devices, and a shock sensor to protect hard drives.
The baseline $1699 FPCM21501 offers Windows XP Professional, 1 GB Memory, and an 80GB Hard Drive, with the high-end $2009 FPCM21503 offering Microsoft Windows Vista Business, 2GB Memory, and a 120GB Hard Drive.
