HP 2133 Mini-Note (GottaBeMobile)

HP Compaq 2133 Mini-Note Warner Crocker over at GottaBeMobile is shipping his review model of the HP 2133 Mini-Note back to HP, and posted quite a few observations about the Mini-Note.

Among them:
– Mini-Note does just fine for light desk (office) and web work, even running Vista on the VIA CPU.
– It’s a bit heavier than the Asus Eee PC, but not enough to deter anybody looking for portability.
– Media playback is not as good as other laptops/netbooks in this class.
– The extended battery is worth it – it can push the battery life up to almost 5 hours.

The last is most interesting to me. Netbooks have got to have better than 2 – 2.5 hours of battery life. We’ll see what happens when the Intel Atom chipset rolls out in a few months and when the VIA CPU updates roll out later this year.
