Following the article we posted earlier today about Intel’s Atom CPU supply issues, DigiTimes is reporting on comments Asustek President Jerry Shen made about the issue.
He is saying that these supply constraints will last until September of this year.
Asustek has a big stake in the Intel Atom issue – in the same article, Shen mentioned that Asustek will be launching an Intel Atom-based version of the Asus Eee PC 900 in June (along with other netbook/sub-notebook vendors).
The Intel Celeron M-based Eee PC 900s will still be available while there is a shortage of Intel Atom CPUs.
