LAPTOP Magazine has published their review of the high-end 12.1-inch ultraportable ASUS Lamborghini VX3-A1Y.
This is one of the most noticeable ultraportable laptops around with the Lamborghini Yellow exterior (or black if you prefer) and Lamborghini branding and the leather-bound palm rest.
It’s pricey – around $3000 or so, but you get a Lamborghini-branded Bluetooth mouse, mouse pad, and carrying bag…. The VX3-A1Y is the yellow version.
The version reviewed came with 4GB of memory and the Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn†T9300 (2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache). It also comes with a 320GB Hard Drive (a rarity among most ultraportables. Benchmarks were well above average (it does come with an Nvidia 9300M graphics chipset with 256MB of dedicated memory). Due to the 9-cell battery, the version reviewed weighed almost 4.5 pounds (but they estimate up to 5 hours of “typical” use).
