Dell Mini Inspiron - Sort of Announced
May 28, 2008
Well, we knew this was coming back at the beginning of April, based on comments that Michael Dell made. Gizmodo scored a few photos and a name at the All Things D conference today.
It’s called the Dell Mini Inspiron and so far, we know the following:
- Comes with a bright red shell (any other colors remain to be seen)
- 3x USB 2.0 ports
- VGA Out, Ethernet port
- Memory card reader: Secure Digital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card
- Probably 8.9-inch display based on comments Dell made about the HP Mini-Note.
- Probably powered by an Intel Atom.
Dell told Gizmodo that it’s a “low-cost notebook meant for developing countries”.
It maybe meant for developing countries, but you can bet there are a lot of people in developed countries that will be wanting this.
