Asus Eee PC 900 and 901 WILL Co-Exist

Asus Eee PC 900 Contrary to earlier reports that the 8.9-inch Intel Celeron M-powered Eee PC 900 would be replaced by the Intel Atom-powered Eee PC 901, Asustek has now clarified that they will continue to co-exist for the immediate future after the Eee PC 901 launches next week.

This goes back to comments that Asustek President Jerry Shen made at the start of this month, that Asus would continue to offer both, probably until Intel met the demand for its new Atom CPUs (and sales of the 900 tapered off).

The news comes from Notebook Italia in comments made by Asustek’s Luca Rossi, that the Eee PC 900 and Eee PC 901 will continue to be manfuctured and solid in parallel to one another through the fall, with a difference in features along with the obvious CPU differences.
