Eee PC 901 Performance - GottaBeMobile.com
June 4, 2008
Over at GottaBeMobile, there have been some performance benchmarks conducted by Matt Miller and a colleague on the new 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC 901 posted (using Performance Test 6.1 that was already loaded on an Eee PC 901 at Computex).
This is the Intel Atom version of the Celeron-powered Eee PC 900 and the NDA on the performance of the Atom has been lifted this week, leading to several stories/benchmarks coming out.
They found the Eee PC 901 to have almost 10% higher performance than a mobile Pentium III M 933MHz. That’s not too bad actually, given the size of the Atom and the device being tested (along with the battery life which is much longer than the Pentium M III - something that is important to a lot of us).
