Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Officially Announced

Lenovo ThinkPad X200 It’ finally official – after all of the rumors and speculating here and elsewhere, Lenovo has finally released details on the ultrathin 12.1-inch Lenovo ThinkPad X200 (widescreen no less).

This thing is thin (and may even have an internal optical drive).

When I say thin, I’m talking 0.8 inches / 20.7 mm. Nearly as thin as the ThinkPad X300 (which has the benefit of spreading the components out a bit more due to its larger display).

The price is also pretty dang amazing – starting at $1,199 and available in August.

Some updated specs:
– HDD Space: Either 64GB SSD or up to 320GB conventional (previously thought to be 200GB)
– Batteries: 4-cell or 9-cell
– Weight: 2.95 – 3.58 pounds/ 1.34 – 1.62 kg
– Optical Drive: Ultrathin, with optional Blu-Ray
– Memory: Up to 4GB of DDR3
– Graphics: Intel
