Dell Mini 9 and Netbooks as a Development Platform

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Scott Hanselman has posted a good writeup on the Dell Mini 9 from a developer’s point of view, and why netbooks are getting a bum rap by some.

I’m actually surprised at the development environment he’s running on his netbook (including server software). He mentions that he’ll be taking it on an international trip as his only laptop, and that he’s running Windows 7, along with Visual Web Developer and SQL Server 2008 Express. He’s very happy with Windows 7. He mentions that the most important point is to have the right expectations when it comes to netbooks.
