Would you like a Dell 710M or perhaps a 12-inch iBook or 12-inch PowerBook in different colors? Last month, Colorware started offering their services for Dell’s 710M 12-inch ultraportable notebooks. You can get different high-gloss colored coatings for your notebook case (including the recently added color “Cotton Candy Pink” ???) from Colorware, as well as customized corporate logos/photos.
LAPTOP Magazine has finished their review of the budget ultraportable notebook, the Dell Inspiron 710M. The 710M is a slight upgrade over it’s predecessor, the Dell 700M ( a bump in processor speed, case color, and software). It comes with a 12-inch display and can be had for right around $1000 – $1200 USD (if not cheaper, depending on configuration).
CNET Asia has a new “review” out of the recently announcedDell Inspiron 710M, however this is slightly misleading. The review covers the Dell Inspiron 700M (the 710M is not currently shipping, although it’s supposed to ship this month), however it applies to the 710M as well, since the only differences between the 700M and the 710M are different case colorings, slight CPU speed increases, and additional multimedia-oriented software.
