ThinkPad X40

Lenovo ThinkPad X-Series
MFR’s Description: Ultimate Mobility in a versatile ultraportable. The thinnest and lightest ultraportable ever
(select models). Models with Intel Centrino Mobile Technology – freedom and flexibility to connect wirelessly.

Note: Very similar to the ThinkPad X41, however the X40 offers an older chipset (both systemboard and graphics). There are some X40 models with an Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) Pentium M CPU, which the X41 series does not have.
Note: Some models with optional Extended Life Batteries and X4 UltraBase can go up to 11 hours without recharging, under certain conditions.

Reviews

TrustedReviews – June 2004 – 9 out of 10 – TrustedReviews “Recommended” – IBM has come pretty close to producing the perfect ultra-portable notebook in the shape of the X40.

HardwareCentral – April 2005 – 4 out of 5 stars – We’d rather watch a movie on the Sony, but we’d rather crunch through messages, spreadsheets, and presentations on the IBM.
