NEC – PC Parafield – 12.1″

NEC PC Parafield
This is a brand new product, mentioned December 1st, 2005, in this PC World/Yahoo Story, and is only
available in Japan.

Note: This laptop does not have a convential Hard Drive – It uses flash memory instead. It’s meant to be a thin-client replacement, with the added capability of being able to be used anywhere (at least where there is a connection to a corporate server).

As far as being available outside of Japan, Hitoshi Onodera, a spokesman for NEC, said this: “We’ll launch it and see what the market response is before considering an international launch”.
