Mfr’s Description: The two new SSD-enabled PC offerings are designed for optimal portability and resolve many of the traditional challenges of mobile computers. The data in flash memory are much more secure against external shocks that can occur when transporting a mobile computer. The SSD can withstand about twice the impact that would cripple a regular hard disk drive. In addition, stored data can be more easily retrieved from flash memory than traditional hard drives when PCs are dropped or liquid is spilled on the device. These mobile computing devices are the ideal solution for professionals and executives who are constantly on the move.
This notebook is not available in the US under the Samsung brand.
Note: This thing has no fans, which means low noise.
Note: The harddrive is a Solid State Disk – flash-based, and therefore produces no noise, is faster, and better on battery life.
This is based on Samsung’s Q30, however there are some subtle differences in addition to the harddrive.

Reviews
Note these are for the Q30, however they apply here
CNET Asia – December 2005 – (US$2,347.66) certainly doesn’t make for a very affordable notebook but the Q30 clearly wants to target the higher-end segment of the market.
TrustedReviews – January 2005 – 8 out of 10 – TrustedReviews.com “Recommended” – If you’re looking for a very light and slim notebook to carry around with you all day, every day, you’d be hard pushed to find a better unit than the Samsung Q30. Just make sure that you don’t need PC Card or Bluetooth support.
