Akihabara News has released details and pictures of a new drive enclosure that is tailor-made for ultraportable users. IO-DATA has a new USB 2.0 harddrive enclosure for 1.8-inch harddrives (20GB – 60 GB capacities). This thing has to be seen to be beleived. More information at IO-DATA’s website (Japanese).
published a review by Eric Grevstad of the Sony VAIO VGN-TX670P. The TX670P has an 11-inch widescreen display, and the frame/body is encased in carbon fiber, making for a very light ultraportable (while still including a DVD-burning optical drive) at just under three pounds. The 670Ps are powered by Pentium M Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) CPUs running at around 1.2GHz.
