DellBatteryProgram.com – Dell Battery Recall (D410)

Dell Latitude D410
A few people emailed me this, and PCPro.co.uk mentioned it as well, and I thought I would pass it along – as mentioned in the past, Dell has issued a recall for certain batteries sold with the Latitude D410 (or as replacements/secondary batteries). Dell has setup a website, DellBatteryProgram.com that walks you through determining whether or not your battery is affected.

  1. I typed in DellBatteryProgram, expecting to get a screen re the battery recall, but got this screen. I have two laptops. Inspiron 5000 and Inspiron 700m. Do I need to worry about the batteries in either of these? Thank you for your help.

P.S. email has one ‘s’, real name has two ‘ss’

  2. The Dell laptop battery recall may apply to several hundred of our laptops. However, the DellBatteryProgram web site is always down and I’ve been unable to identify the ones affected. I can only assume that the web server is a Dell product and therefore not any better than the laptop batteries.

  3. Good moring,
