Next up from HP, is the HP Compaq nc4400 which is replacing the nc4200. This is a beefier machine than the just-announced nc2400, and features an Intel Core Duo processor (Dual-Core), from 1.83GHz – 2.16GHz, as well as almost twice as heavy. They are definitely differentiating their ultraportable offerings from one another. The display is a 12.1-inch non-widescreen display (understandable since it somewhat shares the same form factor as the tc4400).
It’s available May 22, 2006, and it appears that there is a Celeron M 420 option available, although why you’d want it, I’m not sure.
