Dell Latitude D430: Coming Soon

DellComing soon to a website (Dell.com) near you: The Dell Latitude D430. In the midst of Dell announcing a couple of new laptops based on Intel’s “Santa Rosa” platform, the Latitude D630 and D830, they slipped in mention of the Latitude D430. It will be a sequel to the Dell Latitude D420, probably with the same 12.1-inch widescreen display as the D420 (some have speculated that Dell would come out with a 10-inch or 11-inch range, using a Solid State Drive (SSD), similar to Fujitsu or Sony, and that it will be based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo “Santa Rosa” platform. Chances are it will offer a “Solid State Drive” (SSD – i.e., hard drive based on flash memory rather than rotating platters).

The company said that it will offer the Latitude D430 ultra-mobile notebook and Dell PrecisionTM M4300 both based on the Intel processors in the coming weeks.
