Lenovo ThinkPad X61s Spotted

Lenovo ThinkPad The Lenovo ThinkPad X61s has been spotted in use or being demonstrated in China during an Intel conference there this week. They are going to be based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo “Santa Rosa” platform. One specific CPU mentioned was the Intel Core 2 Duo L7300 – 1.40GHz, 800MHz Frontside Bus, and 4MB L2 cache.

For the most part, they are, visually, very similar to the ThinkPad X60/X60s with the exception of the following:
– Fingerprint reader moved to right of mouse/Trackpoint buttons
– Keyboard light shifted to left side of display

They appear to be keeping the 12.1-inch 4:3 non-widescreen display, as well as the overall design/layout.
