Fujitsu FMV-U8240 UMPCFujitsu Limited announced the Fujitsu FMV-U8240 UMPC earlier this week, and Akihabara News has received their review model (review in the near future).

This is Fujitsu’s first UMPC and is scheduled to be available later in June.

It’s based on the Intel A110 (800MHz) “Stealy” CPU with 512K L2 Cache, controlled by the “McCaslin” chipset. It has either 512MB or 1GB of memory (determined when you order – you can’t change it later).

It has a 1024×600 LCD widescreen touchscreen display measuring 5.6 inches. It is an LED backlit display, one of the first in this form factor, and which helps extend the battery life to almost eight hours when using the extended battery.
