HP has released price and shipping details about their new “convertible” ultraportable, the HP Compaq 2710p. The earliest it looks like it ships is July 21, 2007, and the price starts at $1649 USD. All are shipping with Microsoft Windows Vista Business 32-bit/64-bit, with the three low-end models being listed as “Office Ready”.
It has a 12.1-inch widescreen, and the CPU choices are the Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 1.2GHz or the Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 1.06GHz, and all ship with at least 1GB of memory, and 60GB of hard drive space (some models have 2GB of memory and up to 100GB of Hard Drive space). They are based on Intel’s Mobile Intel® GM965 chipset (Santa Rosa).
The RM271UT model ships with the outdoor viewing display.
