Another Sony VAIO VGN-TZ2 Series laptop that was just made available for pre-order has popped up – the Sony VAIO VGN-TZ240N/B (Black). It’s actually at Amazon for $2099.99, but not yet on the main Sony Style website.
You might be better off spending the extra $100 and getting the VAIO VGN-TZ250N.
The TZ240N, while it’s got almost all of the same specifications as the TZ250N, is using a 1.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 instead of the 1.2GHz Core 2 Duo U7600 of the TZ250N. While it’s doubtful the extra speed will really be noticed since the difference is so small, down the road it might help it keep its value should you decide to sell it at some point.
