The Lenovo IdeaPad U110 may finally be available soon. It’s the new 11.1-inch widescreen offering from Lenovo that generated almost as much buzz in the ultraportable crowd as the Lenovo ThinkPad X300 (which it does resemble in regards to some technical specifications and weight). With the standard battery, the laptop weighs in at around three pounds.
This via a product page at J&R, which also shows two models: U110R (with a red cover) and U110B (with a black cover). It’s powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo Low Voltagen L7500 (1.6GHz 4MB L2 Cache). It shows a retail price of $1999, including 3GB of memory (possibly 1GB built-in with a 2GB DIMM), and a 120GB hard drive.
The IdeaPad website is still showing April 2008, and that the holdup was FCC approval.
