A couple of quick articles on the 8.9-inch HP 2133 Mini-Note – Joanna Stern over at LAPTOP Magazine has posted an article on the LAPTOP Magazine blog saying that she “Gave Up My Notebook for an HP Mini-Note”. For the next few days, she will be using it for day-to-day tasks (although she mentioned she’d rather have had Windows XP or Linux versus Microsoft Windows Vista – that should change in a few weeks as more options for the Mini-Note become available). As well, Gizmodo has published a “Lightning Review” of the HP 2133, noting size of the keyboard: My biggest problems typing arose when I narrowed my finger pattern, subconsciously anticipating the keyboard to be smaller given the size of the computer. It was compared against the 7-inch Asus Eee PC (the only other netbook/sub-notebook widely available in the US).
