DigiTimes is reporting that the 7-inch Asus Eee PC should still continue to sell well in many markets, even with the availability of the HP 2133 Mini-Note and other netbooks/mini-notebooks that are going to be availabile soon.
Among the reasons cited for the market favoring the Eee PC – performance, price, and battery life. They do expect that to change as HP rolls out the Windows XP versions of the Mini-Note. As it stands, the Eee PC does have a battery life of around an hour longer and is several hundred dollars cheaper.
The rumors of HP switching from VIA to the Intel Atom platform could influence market share.
