Over on the EeeUser forums, “Tourane” has put together a series of benchmarks comparing the Solid State Drive (SSD) performance in the following netbooks / sub-notebooks:
– Asus Eee PC 701 – 4G and 8G models
– Asus Eee PC 900
The results are interesting (although not surprising) – the 8.9-inch Eee PC 900 is considerably slower because the flash-based storage is spread across two separate drives – a 4GB and 16GB drive, and the interface slows down quite a bit versus the 4GB and 8GB Eee PC 701s.
