MSI Wind U100 Review – bit-tech.net

MSI Wind PC The bit-tech staff published their review of the 10.1-inch MSI Wind U100 (Windows XP) and are comparing it to the 8.9-inch Asus Eee PC 901 as well as the 10.1-inch Advent 4211 (A rebadged MSI Wind U100 available in the UK and possibly elsewhere). All three are powered by Intel’s Atom CPU, and the Wind U100 is the most expensive out of the three.

One thing they note that maybe of interest to some – it uses the same 10.1-inch 1024×600 LED-backlit display that the Asus Eee PC 1000H does. It’s also about the same weight as the Eee PC 901 (of particular interest given that it’s got an 80GB conventional hard drive versus an SSD, although it does have a 3-cell battery instead of a 6-cell).

They were pleased with the keyboard versus the Eee PC, along with the touchpad, and overall they gave it a 7/10, but they point out that there is almost no reason for many in the UK to take the Wind U100 over the Advent 4211, as they are essentially identical, with the Advent being cheaper.
