Kind of a surprise – alongside yesterday’s official launch of the 12.1-inch Lenovo ThinkPad X200, Lenovo announced another ultraportable. This time it’s in the IdeaPad series, and is basically a larger version of the 11.1-inch IdeaPad U110.
The 13.3-inch IdeaPad U330 is oriented towards the consumer market. Not too many details have been released – we’ll know more next month. Pricing and official release dates are not available.
Specifications:
– 13.3-inch Display
– CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 (2GHz, 3MB L2)
– 0.9 inches at thinnest point
– Weighs just over 4 pounds
– Storage: Up to 320GB HDD
One thing that is interesting, is that it mark’s Lenovo’s first ultraportable that allows you to switch between two graphics chipsets depending on what you are doing. It has a dedicated ATI graphics chipset that can be switched to an integrated Intel graphics chipset, such as when the battery is being used and power conservation becomes important.
