Dell Inspiron 910 in the Wild, With Ubuntu

Dell Inspiron 910 Somebody over at Engadget has spotted the 8.9″ Dell Inspiron 910 in the wild and they’ve posted a few photos.

Interestingly enough, it appears like it has a new keyboard than what we’ve seen in the past (although still lacking the function keys, which were merged with the numeric row).

It’s running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) running the 2.6.24.19 Linux kernel (Arstechnica ran an article about it earlier this week). It’s got 512MB of RAM, and it looks like it’s probably the 12GB SSD verion.

It was reported that today (August 22nd) would be the release date, but Dell’s been quiet.
