It looks like today is not meant to be the launch day (or even the official introduction) for the Dell Inspiron 910 netbook.
Eee PC News has word from Dell (if the translation is accurate) that it won’t be available until the first week in September. The good news is, it sounds like it will be available then and not merely introduced and then officially released a few weeks later.
They report that they will be running a version similar to (or a variant of) Ubuntu Netbook Remix. It will allow for an “Easy” mode that works with simple navigation (using a horizontal bar). As they point out, it’ll be good for Linux development and open source software in general.
They are also mentioning a larger 12.1″ version (Dell E Slim perhaps?) in October.
