In an interesting twist for the marketing of new laptops, Sony is going to be offering 100 limited editions of the new 11.1″ VAIO TT laptops that are tied to the upcoming James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace (due out in the middle of November).
The ultraportable laptops will come with a protective leather case as well as a 007 logo on the palm rest. They’ll also have special serial numbers (signifying which out of the 100 TTs they are).
There’s also a promotion involving the Sony Reader Digital Book (also with a 007 logo), along with free downloads of some of Ian Fleming’s novels. In addition, there is a Sony USB Micro Vault (8GB or 16GB) that will also have the logo.
An advertising campaign featuring all of the products will also be kicking off in the near future.
