Akihabara News has published a hands-on look at the highly-anticipated 10.1″ Acer Aspire One. It’s still based on Intel’s Atom CPU (although a faster Atom will be available in the near future for the 10.1″ line) and is an upgrade of the original 8.9″ Acer Aspire One line.
From the photos, you can see the major changes over the original Aspire One, including the moving of the mouse buttons from the side of the touchpad to the bottom. It looks like one button, but in fact it is a “rocker” type of button – the sides of the button function as the left and right mouse buttons. You can also get a good look at the brushed metal palm rest that was added. They have all four colors display – red, black, white, and blue.
It should be available this February, at least in some parts of the world.
