LAPTOP Magazine has posted a review of the Lenovo IdeaPad S10e. While it’s still basically a 10.2″ Lenovo IdeaPad S10, the S10e is targeted towards the education market.
The S10e includes Lenovo’s “Quick Start OS” which allows you to jump into browsing the web, reading email, using Skype, or watching/listening to multimedia files, rather than going through a full boot-up into a normal Windows or Linux desktop. It’s based on Splashtop’s Instant-On OS.
The S10e ( at least the model reviewed) also came with a 6-cell battery, in addition to 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, and Windows XP Home for $429 – there are cheaper versions available that include less RAM and/or Linux.
