Fujitsu Lifebook Q2010 in North America (Plus Using Unannounced CPU)

Looks like Fujitsu will be rolling out the Lifebook Q2010 in North America. According to CNET News.com, Fujitsu unveiled the Q2010 to a North American audience, complete with information on the CPU that will be driving the ultraportable high-end laptop (high-end as in very small and expensive). Apparently it’s going to use the same CPU that popped up in the Gateway NX100X – an Ulta Low Voltage (ULV) Intel Core Solo CPU that was not formally announced or promoted by Intel. Announced: Fujitsu Siemens LifeBook Q2010

Fujitsu Siemens has annouced the LifeBook Q2010, a “truly aspirational product” according to FS. It’s one of the first announced ultraportables using Intel’s Centrino Core Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processors, and unfortunately the speed has yet to be announced. It has a 12-inch widescreen display, embedded 3G mobile phone network capability, Uses Express Cards for expansion, and weighs in at just over two pounds. Continue reading

Fujitsu P1610 to Have 3G UMTS/HSDPA Options

According to Core Duo News, Fujitsu will begin offering a 3G UMTS/HSDPA connectivity module for the
Fujitsu LifeBook P1610. This considerably broadens the connectivity capabilities of the P1610, one of the smallest ultraportable notebooks (which also doubles as a Tablet PC with its 8.9-inch widescreen touchscreen display), especially for those who travel a lot.
