Apple has released AirPort Update 2005-001. If you have a PowerBook or iBook and are running Mac OS X 10.4.x, you should upgrade to Mac OS X 10.4.3 (recently released this week) and install this.
This update fixes reliability and resolves AirPort compatibility issues with certain third party 802.11 cards and access points and can be installed through the normal Software Update methods.
