Review: Averatec 1050 (IT Reviews)

Averatec 1000 Series
IT Reviews has a new review up of the Averatec 1050. The Averatec 1050 is an Ultra Low Voltage Pentium M – powered ultraportable notebook with a 10.6-inch widescreen display. The 1050’s strong points include its size and battery life, but its hardware is starting to get a little dated, although for the price it’s still an extremly good deal, and it has an attractive/eye-catching design (some have compared it to the iBook).

Interestingly enough, it’s aimed at home users, but as IT Reviews points out:

this is one ultra-portable that’s aimed at the home user, although why a home user would want an ultra-portable is an interesting point. However, weighing just 1.6kg, with a big hard drive and built-in DVD combo drive, it could still be the business traveller’s ideal weapon.
