Review: Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Tablet (Christopher Welles)

Lenovo ThinkPad After using his Lenovo thinkPad X61 Tablet for a week, Christopher Welles has posted a 1-week review of the Tablet. The ThinkPad X61 Tablet he ordered is the 7767B7U model with the 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 (Low Voltage – LV) and 2GB of memory.

Among the topics included in his review: fingerprints/smudging, working without a built-in optical drive, (which he’s talked about in the past), battery life, and the latch on the display (which did cause problems). Even though the ThinkPad X61 Tablet has a Low Voltage CPU, he was impressed with the power (keep in mind it is an dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo CPU running on Intel’s Santa Rosa platform).
