Could the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro end up getting multi-touch capabilities, similar to the MacBook Air?
T3 spoke with an Apple spokesperson and learned that the MacBook Air’s multitouch interface is in fact software based, and not hardware based. This opens the doors to a potential software update to enable this feature on certain MacBooks and MacBook Pros.
If the software was released by Apple, that could bring the MacBook Air’s gestures, tap, scroll, pinch, rotate and swipe, to a much larger audience, and could potentially be incorporated in other applications.
