If Blogeee.net has it right, the upgraded version of the 8.9-inch subnotebook Asus Eee PC 900 will be the Asus Eee PC 901 with an Intel Atom CPU.
From the pictures provided, it looks like there have been some design changes – hinge area, new buttons, changes in some port layouts (A/C) as well as the “Eee” branding, but nothing too radical.
The change in branding matches what was reported a few weeks ago, that Eee would be spun off as its own branding.
It’ll be interesting to see how the black version will look, as well as whether or not it can match the battery life of the Atom-powered MSI Wind PC (5.5 hours claimed by MSI with the 6-cell battery).
