It’s official: The Lenovo ThinkPad X300 is now available for ordering from Lenovo. It has a drastically lowered starting price – down to $2,548.00 (although that is subject to change).
There are two models available, both showing a shipping date of 2-3 weeks. Both show the Intel Core 2 Duo SL7100 Low Voltage 1.2GHz CPU (4MB L2 Cache).
The $2548 model has the ThinkPad X300 Series 3 Cell LiPolymer Bay Battery in place of the DVD writer, while the $2632 model has the ultrathin DVD writer, otherwise they are identical.
They are available through the Lenovo store’s ThinkPad X section
