Just a few short weeks ago, Dell announced the Dell Vostro 1310, their latest 13.3-inch widescreen laptop.
The Vostro 1310 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo CPUs (and Celerons, but we advise against them), and is positioned below their popular Dell XPS M1330 which has the same size display.
It was available for order almost immediately in some parts of the world, with only a brief product page for North American customers. It’s now available for North American customers to start ordering, with starting price of $749 (although this includes an Intel Celeron M 540 (1.86GHz), which is hardly worth it). At the minimum, go up to the Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 (1.8GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB) which is only $25 ore, putting the starting price at $774.
The preliminary ship date shows May 20, 2008.
