Last week, NotebookReview.com posted their review of the new 13.3″ Lenovo ThinkPad SL300, which is geared towards small and medium-sized businesses. It’s kind of a budget line, and it’s pointed out that it’s basically Lenovo’s answer to Dell’s 13.3″ Vostro 1310.
It does feature an LED-backlit display (which gets high marks), and the main difference in starting prices ($769 USD versus $869 USD) is the graphics chipsets – Integrated Intel GMA X4500 or NVIDIA GeForce 9300. After that it’s a matter of selecting CPUs, etc. (the NotebookReview.com model tested with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 ).
They’ve got a photo of the bottom where you can see the removable panels where you can access the RAM, WWAN/WiFi cards, etc., which is easier to upgrade than in some ThinkPads (where some components are accessed by removing the keyboard / palm rest).
