Last week, Brad over at Liliputing reviewed the 10.2″ Asus Eee PC 1002HA, calling it “one of the best looking netbooks Asus has released”. The review model has a 160GB HDD, which is fast becoming the standard in certain segments of the netbook population.
It is very close to the Eee PC 1000H, although as the review points out, the 1002HA has a brushed metal exterior in certain areas (and it ends up being slightly smaller in some areas than the 1000H). The biggest difference appears to be the battery designs between the two devices – the 1000H has a 6600 battery while the 1002HA has a 4200mAh battery.
Most of the other areas are nearly identical, including the multi-touch touchpad, although the mouse keys are now a single key (using a rocker). You also end up with only one button when you want to toggle the various power-saving modes of the 1002HA (Power Saving, High Performance, and Super High Performance – the three modes of the “Super Hybrid” system Asustek built into these).
